Adding data bases

Let's study adding data bases on a specific example of MS Access data base.

On checking the "Additional complex data sources" box you should press the "Configure" button opposite this checkbox. The following window will emerge:

To add a new data source press the button _bm25 and in the dropping menu select _bm26. As a result the Wizard of adding new data bases will open.

_bm27

.
In the emerged window you should devise and enter a new user name (arbitrary) in the "
Friendly user name" field. On this same page there is an option to attach comments, and it is advisable to do it. This stage completed, you can press the "Next" button.

_bm28

Here when you press the
"Setup data source" button, the following settings window will be displayed:

_bm29

In this window on the "Data supplier" tab we select the suitable format for the data storage. As we will attach an MS Access data base, we should select
Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider. To proceed setting options in the same window, you can either press the "Next" button or select the "Attaching" tab above.

_bm30

Here in point 1 the full name of the data base should be specified
. The simplest way to do this is to press _bm31. If the data base is protected by a password, a particular user name should be entered and the "Empty password" checkbox should be unchecked. Then you should enter the necessary password in the activated "Password" field. If the data base is not password protected, you can enter any arbitrary user name (for example, Admin) and leave the "Empty password" checked. Everything successfully completed, press OK.

The settings window has been closed and the application has gone back to the
ADO Document Source window. Now you can check whether the data has been entered correctly by pressing the "Check connection" button. If the route was specified correctly, the confirmation of successfully adding the data base will appear. Now press "Next" to proceed to the following stage.

_bm32

In the displayed window you should select the "
From table or view" mode, as in this case we are going to work with table/s, created in the MS Access data base. Press "Next".

_bm33

Here you should fill in all the fields. In the
"Table or view" field you should select one of the available tables in the data base. In the following option you should select the name of the key field, further the name of the field, in which the data is stored. And the last option is the type of the data stored (in this case it's text). To check the correctness of the data in the table and the selected options press "Check data" and if the data has been displayed, you can press "Next".

In the emerging window brief information on the implemented work is displayed. Having checked once again that all the data have been entered correctly, you should press "Finish".

Our full text search engine system allows you to search web site

When you submit your Site for indexing, our full text search engine spider will "crawl" your site, traversing each and every link. Each page is "read" and a "search index" is created. This index is stored on our servers. The HTML code you insert into your page produces a search button and a query text box. It also contains a link back to our full text search engine tool. When a search is requested, our computers search your index and a results page is created. This page is returned to the searcher's browser. Everything happens here. You see the results there.
